"The Predator" returns to hunt unwilling human prey soon. Authors Thomas A. Fowler & Melissa Koons kick off Monster Month with a look at the Alien franchise, with some mild Predator sprinkled in there for good measure. From the confusion of the new entries to the classic influence of the first two entries, we look at the deadliest ant colony in space with the Alien franchise.
In part one of a two part conversation, the Alien Franchise seems to have had more misses than straight up hits. Do we think the movies will ever return to the glory of the first two or has too much damage been done? Will we ever see the light of day with Neil Blomkamp's proposed direct sequel to 'Aliens' that'd see the return of Newt and Hicks? They were two characters many felt were unfairly written out during the rushed production process of 'Alien 3.'
