It's Academy Awards season, and hosts Thomas A. Fowler and Melissa Koons break down the nominations for this year. Who are our favorites? Who do we want to win compared to who we think will win. On several occasions we discuss the need to recognize genre more as well as stop promoting horrible people doing horrible things. And those horrible things also include how the Academy has handled the show this year from trying to shove Black Panther into the ill-advised "Popular Film" category and relegating certain categories to commercial breaks because they aren't sitting with the "cool kids."
